Resumen del proyecto de investigación

Estudio la interfaz entre ecología y evolución, centrado en las interacciones planta-animal, evolución rápida, adaptación local, especiación y diversificación. Para abordar esta amplia gama de intereses, aplico una variedad de métodos: mediciones de color, morfometría geométrica, filogenética y, especialmente, una amplia gama de modelos estadísticos en R. Algunas preguntas que motivan mi investigación son:

-¿Cómo se acumulan los cambios cuantitativos y se transforman en diferencias cualitativas durante la especiación?

-¿La asociación de rasgos permanece estable durante el cambio evolutivo? ¿Cómo entender el doble papel de las asociaciones de rasgos como restricción y resultado de la selección natural?

-¿Cómo surgen los rasgos complejos y cómo se mantienen estables durante la evolución?
